McKenzie Bay International Appoints Interim Officers and Changes Mailing Addresses

MIDLAND, MI -- (MARKET WIRE) -- October 3, 2006 -- McKenzie Bay International, Ltd. (OTCBB: MKBY) announced that the following executives have been appointed immediately as interim officers for the Company and its subsidiary: Mr. John Popp, Chief Executive Officer; Mr. John Sawarin, Chief Financial Officer; and Mr. Jon Hintz, Chief Operational Officer, WindStor Power Co. Both Mr. Popp and Mr. Sawarin remain as members of the Company's Board during their interim appointments.

These managerial changes arose from the resignations of Mr. Gregory Bakeman and Mr. Don Harms from their respective roles within the Company.

The Company further announces that McKenzie Bay International, Ltd. and its Subsidiaries, WindStor Power Company and Lac Dore Mining have new corporate mailing addresses and phone numbers.
