NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - January 12, 2009) - The TJ Martell Foundation announced today the 10th anniversary of their annual TJ Martell Foundation Family Day fundraising event. The celebration will be held on Sunday, March 8th, 2009 at the legendary Roseland Ballroom, located at 239 West 52nd Street (between Broadway and 8th Avenue), in New York from 1-4pm. Family Day provides hundreds of families the opportunity to participate in a spectacular day full of fun and safe indoor games and carnival activities to raise money for Leukemia, Cancer and AIDS research. Now in its tenth year, Family Day has steadily grown into one of the Martell Foundation's most successful events raising over $2.4 million since its inception.

This year's Family Day will honor GMR Entertainment Managing Director Marcus Peterzell and his wife Lori Peterzell, VP of Consumer Marketing for A&E Network and Bio, along with KOCH Records President Bob Frank, his wife Carol Frank, and their respective families. As co-chairs of the Family Day event the past 3 years, Peterzell and Frank have grown this amazing fair fundraising experience into one of Martell's most prosperous events.

"This event is one of the highlights on our agenda. The name alone -- Family Day -- says it all. There is nothing higher than family, your family and mine, and we honor them on this day. We are saluting two family members this year, Marcus Peterzell and Bob Frank. They have been in the Foundation family for many years and we cherish their dedication and all the money they have made possible for vital Leukemia, Cancer & AIDS research," raves Tony Martell, Founder & Chairman of the TJ Martell Foundation.

Family Day brings together families from many different industries along with a who's who of music and entertainment executives. Family Day will feature a live performance by Interscope recording artist The Clique Girlz and a special appearance from Long Island's own teen music stars Push Play! In addition to the fun and games, Family Day will also host a silent auction which will feature amazing, one of a kind celebrity auction items.

For the 10th anniversary, the TJ Martell Foundation will be making a special Family Day tribute to all of the previous honorees and their families.
