Media Advisory: IWK Health Centre Opens New Research Lab to Study Pre-Clinical Models of Diseases

HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA--(Marketwire - Jan. 11, 2008) - The media are invited to the opening of the Biomedical MRI Research Laboratory at the IWK Health Centre in Halifax, in conjunction with the National Research Council of Canada (NRC).

Dignitaries include the Honourable Peter MacKay, Minister of National Defence and Minister of the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, on behalf of the Honourable Jim Prentice, Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for NRC, Dr. Pierre Coulombe, NRC President, Ms. Anne McGuire, President and CEO, IWK Health Centre, and Dr. Patrick McGrath, Vice President, Research, IWK Health Centre.
