Margaret Lefebvre Reappointed to the National Research Council Canada
OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 9, 2009) - The Honourable Tony Clement, Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for the National Research Council Canada (NRC), today announced the reappointment of Margaret Lefebvre as a member of the Council.
"Ms. Lefebvre's experience and knowledge in science and research will bring rich and diverse contributions to the Council as it continues to further its work," said Minister Clement.
Ms. Lefebvre was first appointed to the NRC on October 30, 2006. She is the founder and Executive Director of the Canadian Association of Income Funds and has had the opportunity to serve on several boards, including the working group to create a national science organization and the Council of Canadian Academies.
Ms. Lefebvre graduated from Concordia University in Montreal with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. In 2006, she completed the Directors Education Program from the Institute of Corporate Directors at the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management.
