Gulf Ethanol to Host Fortune 100 Energy Company

HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwire - September 8, 2008) - Gulf Ethanol Corporation (PINKSHEETS: GFET) announced today that it will be providing a private demonstration of its feedstock preprocessing unit at the request of a Fortune 100 energy company that has expressed an interest in the technology this week. The U.S. Department of Energy has stated that pre-processing feedstocks into smaller, drier particles is essential to the success of the cellulosic ethanol industry. This is the precise role of Gulf Ethanol's technology.

"Interest continues to increase in Gulf's new technology as we refine and improve on our technological platform," noted Bill Carmichael, GFET's President. "Once we have completed our initial tests and enhancements to the prototype production unit, we will begin design of our first full-scale commercial processing unit," he added.
