GameFly.com Chooses Omniture Test&Target to Improve Online Customer Experience and Increase Registration
OREM, UT--(Marketwire - July 10, 2008) - Omniture, Inc. (NASDAQ: OMTR), a leading provider
of online business optimization software, today announced that GameFly.com
has selected Omniture Test&Target to improve its users' online video game
rental experience and provide quantifiable results from its new online
marketing campaigns. GameFly is the
leading video game rental service. Consumers sign up online and select the
games they want from over 5000 of the latest and classic video games across
nine platforms. GameFly will use Omniture Test&Target to analyze online
marketing campaigns showcasing GameFly's large selection of video game
titles. By testing and measuring the effectiveness of each campaign,
GameFly can better understand which content leads to higher customer
conversion.
GameFly is already utilizing Omniture Test&Target for A/B and multivariate tests on its home
and landing pages, including registration tests and video game offers for
Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony game consoles. Future
campaigns will focus on targeted content that is relevant to each of their
customers based on the specific gaming consoles they own and the video
titles that are of most interest to them.
"It is critical that GameFly
continually optimize its marketing efforts to maximize business wins," said
Neil Seth, senior vice president, product development & technology. "Omniture Test&Target helps show us what changes to our site are
impacting conversion and bottom-line revenue. In addition, we can better
cater to our customers' needs with individual offers and promotions that
are targeted specifically to them."
The
NPD Group estimates that the video game industry now takes in $18
billion annually. Figures also indicate that the size of the gaming
audience continues to grow. In 2007, 72 percent of 6-to-44
year-olds played video games, up from 64 percent in 2006.
"We believe video games continue to experience growth as consumers are
spending more of their entertainment dollars at home," said Chris
Harrington, president, worldwide sales and client services at Omniture.
"With Omniture Test&Target, GameFly.com can better serve the unique needs
of its members by ultimately targeting the right game title to the right
customer."
