GTX Corp Combines 2-Way GPS, Proximity Alerting and Apple Inc's 3.0 OS Delivering Social Location Awareness at the Touch of a Button
New "Killer" Apps for iPhone and Smart Phones
LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - May 20, 2009) - GTX
Corp (OTCBB: GTXO), a leader in customizable, patented 2-way GPS
Personal Location Services (PLS) solutions, plans to launch new apps this
summer. The Company is expanding its LOCi brand with the soon to be
released iLOCi2™ and Code Mobile™. The development contract remains
with original LOCiMe engineers Lextech, an award winning iPhone
application developer.
Following the soft launch of LOCiMe (currently available at the iPhone App Store), which turns your iPhone into a 2-way
GPS transceiver enabling authorized friends and loved ones to monitor your
whereabouts on the GTX Viewing Portal, the unique iLOCi2 app uses the iPod
Touch or iPhone's internal location services to pinpoint the location of
opt-in friends, family or business associates at the touch of a button.
Currently, a combined total of 37 million units of the iPhone and iPod
Touch have been sold. Three versions are scheduled for release including a
free two user version, a 10 user version which will cost $2.99, and an
Enterprise version with unlimited users to be announced.
Shortly after the release of iLOCi2™ the company plans to launch its
highly socially conscientious Code
Amber News Service on a mobile platform. Code Mobile is a social
location content provider, pushing "data-rich" missing persons alerts to
mobile handsets. This will be one of the first news services that will
deliver real time data, tracking an incident by seamlessly delivering
information based on the physical location of the subscriber. The Code
Mobile app will be available on the iPhone and an SMS alert service will be
available on RIM BlackBerry and Google's Android, in addition to other
smart phones. The Code Amber Mobile app and SMS service are expected to
significantly expand the current Code Amber News Service alert system
sending real-time alerts of missing persons, turning thousands of concerned
citizens into "smart eyes" on the street.
