CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Aug. 9, 2010) - Forent Energy Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:FEN) ("Forent" or the "Company") regretfully announces that the Company's President & CEO, Dennis Forgeron has been reported missing as a result of the disappearance of his aircraft off the coast of Nova Scotia, late Thursday August 5th. Contact was lost with Mr. Forgeron's aircraft in heavy fog not far from the beach, on which he had been a lifeguard in his teenage years.
The Company has appointed Thomas E. Lester, as interim President & CEO and continues to await word from the RCMP, now involved in the search for Mr. Forgeron's aircraft.
Mr. Forgeron, who was raised in Sydney, Nova Scotia, founded Forent in 1999 as a private oil & gas company focused on low risk projects in central Alberta. After a number of years of successful internal growth the company repositioned itself by assembling an experienced management team to explore large scale frontier blocks.
