Football Coach Releases Powerful Video Documentary About Wounded Marines

SACRAMENTO, CA--(Marketwire - Jun 2, 2011) - Battle at the Capital released a video documentary today entitled "The Day Remembered." The DVD showcases the unrehearsed and compelling true-life stories of wounded veterans and their families.

"Our original idea was to capture a few video footage clips to highlight on our website," said Mark "Coach" Soto, Executive Director of Battle at the Capital. "Once we started filming the testimonies of the 3rd Battalion / 5th Marines and their families, we realized that there was more than a few great clips -- there was a story that America needed to hear. This DVD not only allows us to share the truth and stories of these Marines, but allows us to raise money to directly support their current needs."

The production was funded by a group of volunteers from Northern California and filmed using donated equipment at the Balboa Veterans Museum in San Diego, CA. The Video Documentary caught the eye of Brent Rowan of Nashville fame and beyond, who volunteered to compose, perform, and record the soundtrack.

"The Day Remembered" is available for $10 through their website. Proceeds go towards their goal of raising $250,000 this year to aid in the support of those wounded while serving our country.

Upcoming Battle at the Capital events include: Golf Tournament and a 3-day Football Invitational. A complete schedule of events is available: See schedule.
