VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Aug. 27, 2008) - FirstGrowth Exploration & Development Services Corp. (TSX VENTURE:FGC)(OTCBB:FGCDF)(FRANKFURT:G8Q) (the "Company") is pleased to announce that its subsidiary, Kinetex Inc. has been awarded a contract valued at over $1 million dollars to provide seismic acquisition and processing services for Raytec Metals (TSX VENTURE:RAY) ("Raytec", or the "Client") on its KP441 potash property in central Saskatchewan.

Raytec is intent on aggressively advancing its potash exploration program, having recently received exploration permits from the Saskatchewan Ministry of Energy and Mines on claims covering over 91,549 acres. Kinetex's digital, high resolution seismic data will contribute to the design and commencement of a phase one drill program targeted to expand the current potash resource.

Raytec intends to follow up this initial 2-D survey work with a 3-D seismic survey to further investigate the lithology and volumetrics of the potash mineralization within its permit area. The contract is open to extension of additional properties and processing and interpretation services. Raytec is current awaiting permits to explore an additional 207,360 acres.

A crew has been deployed to the Client's property and will be on location for approximately two months. Processing and initial interpretation will follow; upon which time the Client will select certain prospective areas to complete a Full Wave 3D Evaluation over targeted areas of interest.

The contract is open to extension to encompass additional properties and processing and interpretation services. Raytec has submitted permits to explore an additional 207,360 acres to the Saskatchewan Ministry of Energy and Mines which are pending approval.
