Editors Note: A photo, video and audio are included with this press release.

For the second year in a row, Expedia.ca together with Fran Capo, the Guinness Book of World Records' fastest talking female, are searching for Canada's fastest talker in the Expedia.ca Fast Talk Your Way to Vegas contest. But before the ultimate fast talking champion is crowned, the Lucky 7 top voted finalists must put their tongues to the test to showcase their talents in a live Las Vegas event! Speedy speakers from across the country can visit www.FastTalkToVegas.ca for details on how to upload their video and audio submissions describing their ultimate, fast-paced Vegas vacation in 15 seconds.

What's new for 2008?

Everyone knows Las Vegas for its glitz and glam, dazzling the senses with lights and unique entertainment. This year, the Expedia.ca Fast Talk Your Way to Vegas grand finale event can be added to the list. This December, seven lucky fast talking finalists, as voted by visitors to the site, will compete in a judged showdown in fabulous Las Vegas! The Lucky 7 will be flown down to Las Vegas by WestJet for the grand finale event at Planet Hollywood(TM) Resort & Casino. This year's grand prize? A chance to win an even more extravagant Vegas vacation for the Canadian crowned Canada's fastest talker and a guest immediately following the fast-paced competition.

"I am looking forward to seeing how Canadians mouth off and fast talk their way to a fabulous Las Vegas vacation," said Fran Capo, comedienne and professional fast talker who can rhyme off a record 603 words in 54 seconds. "There's plenty of fun and exciting things to do in a city like Las Vegas, so I hope the lucky seven finalists can keep up with me!"

What's the first step?

The www.FastTalkToVegas.ca site offers fast talker hopefuls the chance to brush up on their skills and directly video or phone in a description of their ultimate Vegas vacation within 15 seconds. Entrants with webcams can easily video themselves describing their submission or can call toll free to record their message online. Once the sumbission is on the site, entrants can improve their chances of winning by sending a link to friends and family to solicit their votes. The site experience begins with a new animated show tune and also offers tips, speed exercises (tongue curls or palate dipthongs anyone?) and a script generator to help fast talkers develop a personalized and creative entry.

How to be crowned Canada's fastest talker

Any fast talker will tell you that it's about more than just speed. Submissions will also be evaluated on clarity, creativity or originality and Vegas content. But Canadians will need to talk fast - the contest is set to end on November 23, 2008! Full rules and regulations can be found at www.FastTalkToVegas.ca.
