Effective Control Transport Inc. Article in Canadian Newspaper: La Presse: «Somnolence et véhicules lourds: l'industrie sonne le réveil»
LONGUEUIL, QC--(Marketwire - November 29, 2007) - On November 29, 2007, an article which
appeared in one of the leading Canadian newspapers, LaPresse, reporting
about the technology of sleep detection. Effective Control Transport
(www.ecnholding.com), a subsidiary of Media City Corp. (PINKSHEETS: MCCY),
would like to bring further clarifications to the article regarding its
involvement with the Robert Transport Group and the development of the said
product (the SDS). The SDS was actually developed by BCS Technology
originally, not ECT. That company is currently bankrupt.
ECT's original involvement in regards to the Robert Transport group was to
bring forth a complete fleet management solution. This solution does not
only involve lowered cognitive resources detection systems, but a whole
range of adjacent services for the company.
From this involvement emerged our FOLO CRAM solution, which is an integral
part of the whole FOLO suite of applications.
ECT is very proud to announce that the version of the FOLO CRAM will be
more efficient in the monitoring of the cognitive resources of the driver.
This will also include the ability to detect lowered levels of cognitive
resources caused by the presence of alcohol and drugs used by the
individual (which mimic the symptoms of fatigue). We are now entering a new
realm of being able to prevent accidents caused by all impairments.
Effective Control Transport Inc. is an information technology firm that has
developed fully integrated solutions for trucking and fleet management,
along with the highest level of technical expertise which enables it to
service a wide range of customers, providing tailored solutions. Our system
