NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 6, 2008) - On October 6th, visitors to the Niagara Fallsview Casino and Casino Niagara will begin seeing stripes, black and yellow stripes that is. Murray Marshall, President & CEO of Diamond Estates Wines & Spirits Ltd. is pleased to announce his company's 20 Bees Chardonnay & Cabernet Merlot were selected as the new house wines in both Niagara casinos.

The wines, a Chardonnay and Cabernet Merlot underwent a number of tastings by casino officials before a final decision was made. "These wines were crafted to reflect the fruit forward style of winemaking that 20 Bees has become known for" said Thomas Green, V.P. Winemaking for Diamond Estates.

The 20 Bees Chardonnay is an easy drinking, crowd pleasing wine displaying crisp notes of green apples, peaches and Bosc pears that intermingle with subtle hints of butterscotch.

The 20 Bees Cabernet Merlot is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (45%), Merlot (30%) and Cabernet Franc (25%) which come together to reveal rich flavours of black cherries, raspberries and slight notes of spicy oak. This Cabernet Merlot is very lightly oak aged so the fresh fruit characteristics in the wine may be preserved.

The sleek 20 Bees black and yellow wine bottles can now be spotted at various bars throughout the two casinos. Both the 20 Bees Chardonnay and Cabernet Merlot are food friendly wines that can also be enjoyed for sipping on their own.

In addition to the 20 Bees house wine listing, both casinos will feature other brands from the Diamond Estates portfolio including their own EastDell Estates Niagara wines and imported wines and spirits from around the world.
