Talenthouse and the Stan Lee Foundation Create Opportunity for Up-and-Coming Designers to Gain Worldwide Exposure
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA--(Marketwire - August 17, 2010) - Talenthouse, the leading platform in creative collaboration, announced today their partnership with the Stan Lee Foundation, whose Chairman Emeritus, Stan Lee, is the iconic creator of Spider-Man, X-Men and The Fantastic Four. Together, they are embarking on the first of a series of creative invites, by launching a worldwide search for creative fans and designers to provide them with the opportunity to work on the first Stan Lee Foundation project.
The Stan Lee Foundation, whose mission is to promote community engagement and giving towards literacy, educational, and artistic pursuits is reaching out to creative fans, designers and illustrators through Talenthouse to find a designer who can create a logo that will represent the foundation and its dedication to the literacy arts.
The logo design will be incorporated and used as the official logo for the foundation, appearing on all of their communication pieces. Along with creating the official logo and receiving worldwide exposure, the selected designer will meet Stan Lee and will be presented an award during the New York Comic Con taking place October 2010; travel and accommodation to New York included.
To participate, designers are asked to create and submit a logo design that best represents the Stan Lee Foundation to www.talenthouse.com. Submissions must be original and unique; designs cannot include any Marvel characters (Spider-Man, X-Men, Fantastic Four, etc.). The logo can be an emblem on its own, or it can be an emblem that includes the Stan Lee Foundation wording.
"The opportunity that the Stan Lee Foundation is providing for our creative community is the epitome of what Talenthouse is about," said Adam Brioza, Director of Artist Relations for Talenthouse. "Not only is this collaboration great for our Talenthouse artists by providing them with worldwide recognition, but future artists will also benefit from the foundation's success and growth."
Deadline for submissions is September 16, 2010 with voting taking place September 17-20, 2010. The selected logo design will be announced September 28, 2010. All submitted designs will be reviewed and judged by the Stan Lee Foundation.
