Design for the Next Generation of iPod Soundsystems

Talenthouse and Kanto Speakers Provide Opportunity for Up-and-Coming Designers to Gain Worldwide Exposure

PALO ALTO, CA--(Marketwire - October 27, 2010) - Talenthouse, the leading platform in creative collaboration, announced today their partnership with a leader in iPod speaker systems, Kanto Speakers. Together they launch a worldwide search for creative, forward thinking designers with the aim of providing them with the opportunity of seeing their designs put into production and featured at the world-renowned CES consumer electronics show in Las Vegas.

Kanto has always been known for its outstanding ability of listening and interpreting its customer's needs and is now reaching out to the artistic community to ask for their expertise. Kanto's flagship speaker system, SYD 5, which was labeled as "Gear of the Year" in 2009 by Mac Life magazine, is looking for a new creative skin. Through Talenthouse, Kanto will find a designer who can create the new design that will be featured on the casing for the launch of the limited edition SYD 5.

To participate, designers are asked to download one of the templates, use their creative talents in designing a shell to apply to the SYD 5 speaker and then upload their design to http://pea.to/kanto

The top five voted designs as well as four other designs chosen by representatives of Kanto will be showcased at the CES consumer electronics show in Las Vegas in January 2011. From the nine designs the winning design will be selected and the designer will receive full credits, a SYD 5 system with their design applied, $2000 in cash and $50 for every unit sold featuring their design.

Deadline for submissions is Nov. 21, 2010 with voting taking place Nov. 22-26, 2010. The nine-selected shell casing designs will be announced Nov. 30, 2010 with the winning submissions announced at the CES consumer electronics show in January 2011. All submitted designs will be reviewed and judged by representatives of Kanto.
