Competitive Games International Issues Performance Update to Shareholders
PANAMA CITY, PANAMA--(Marketwire - February 21, 2008) - Competitive Games International, Inc.
(PINKSHEETS: CGMI), an innovative and interactive media company, today
announced that the President has issued a performance update to its
shareholders.
To Our Shareholders:
Over the past twelve months, Competitive Games International, Inc. through
its wholly owned subsidiary Competitive Games International, Corp (or CGI)
has been successfully developing all aspects of a newly evolving and
dynamic business model within the Skill Games and/or Causal Games industry.
CGI offers a portfolio of online Skill Games in which members are able to
play games for fun or play competitively for money, whereby they can wager
against others one-on-one 'head to head' or in tournament play. CGI's
Skill Games include many of the most popular games on the web including
9-Ball Pool, Word Wiz, Grouper, Saduko and Mahjong.
The interactive player platform at CGI is designed to attract both an
expansive and diverse user base. And, as an interactive media company,
Competitive Games realizes the importance of marketing by building a solid
foundation of users based on regular and returning customers. Therefore,
the Company has incorporated its business model with an innovative
Affiliate Marketing strategy encouraging both game play and the
distribution of CGI products and services. That is, CGI, like no other
Skill Games company, rewards its players with cash and prizes for not only
playing games but also as incentives for referring others to play its
games.
In other words, at CGI, the integrated marketing strategy inherently
encourages Affiliates to operate their own business and earn an income by
way of an intricate commission based compensation plan. Thus, the business
model provides the excitement of games, the infrastructure for competitive
play, and all the tools necessary to help its affiliates build a successful
business with unlimited potential, all within the context of the booming
Skill Games industry.
To build further brand awareness and continue to gain exposure, CGI is
taking steps to engage the online social networking mega trend. This
includes the building of applications to enable CGI game play on Facebook,
Bebo, Friendster and other social networking giants. Developments in this
arena are underway and will undoubtedly play a significant role in the
future adoptability of CGI Skill Games.
Revenues for the company are generated from Skill Game play, the retail
sale of CGI memberships, advertising and future licensing agreements.
Global skill wagering currently attracts more than 100 million players
globally per year. Skill Games wagering is anticipated to reach $1.56
billion dollars by mid 2008.

Industry Snapshot:
With the recent regulatory challenges for Online Casino's in the USA,
wagering on online Skill Games (or Casual Games) has surged and become an
even more attractive place for gamers and investors. Skill Game wagering
does not face the same regulatory and legal challenges as games of chance
(i.e. traditional casino games) and is therefore finding mass appeal in the
US and around the globe.
The Skill Game industry attracts a broad demographic of users -- more so
than other forms of online games. In particular, statistics show that
women and individuals over 50 make up a significant percentage of Skill
Game players. Whether it be in office buildings, in living rooms or from
hand-held devices belonging to the WAP enabled masses, online Skill Games
are rapidly increasing in popularity. Globally, Online Skill Games attract
more than 100 million players per year resulting in hundreds of thousands
of games being played each day. Moreover, wagering on Skill Games is
anticipated to top $1.56 billion by mid 2008. CGI is poised to capitalize
on this growth.
Outlook:
In 2008, Competitive Games International continues to aggressively execute
its business plan by rolling out new Skill Game offerings and establishing
a rapidly growing distribution network to support its business. The
Company will remain focused on continuing to introduce high quality games,
advancing its marketing practices, and expanding its brand recognition this
year and into the future. CGI believes that the burgeoning social
networking industry is a favorable environment for attracting users and
developing its brand of game play. Therefore, the Company plans to pursue
developments in this direction in the upcoming months.
As the Skill Game and Casual Game industry continues to grow, CGI will
extend its effort to expand its market share and encourage increased game
play. Further to this, Competitive Games International, Inc. will
continue to seek other opportunities and/or ventures in the media
entertainment and Skill Games industries. I believe that both of these
catalysts bode well in unlocking shareholder value in the upcoming
quarters.
