TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 2, 2008) - Cineplex Entertainment (TSX:CGX.UN) announced today that Cineplex Odeon Brantford Cinemas officially closed its doors last night, to make way for the new state-of-the-art eight-screen Galaxy Cinemas Brantford which will open in late October 2008.

The new Galaxy Cinemas Brantford will feature all stadium rocker seating (each seat row will be 18" higher than the previous row), wall-to-wall, giant, curved screens; large, luxurious seats with ample legroom; Digital DLP projection systems; REAL D 3D technology and Dolby Digital Surround Sound. The spacious lobby will feature a Family Entertainment Centre that can be accessed without a movie ticket. The refreshment selection will be very broad including Outtakes that will offer Pizza Pizza, fresh cut fries, chicken tenders and nachos in addition to all the standard must-have movie fare including popcorn, soft drinks and Yogen Fruz low-fat and no-fat frozen yogurt and specialty ice cream treats.
