TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 3, 2010) - Cineplex Entertainment (TSX:CGX.UN) today announced UltraAVX™ will be offered in 11 cinemas across Canada by December 17, 2010. Beginning November 5, guests can experience a movie in UltraAVX at SilverCity Brampton Cinemas and SilverCity Mississauga Cinemas. Guests at Coliseum Scarborough Cinemas will have to wait an extra day as UltraAVX opens November 6, 2010.
UltraAVX will then open November 19, 2010 at Coliseum Ottawa Cinemas and in late November at Galaxy Cinemas Chilliwack. Scotiabank Theatre Montreal and Scotiabank Theatre Toronto guests will also be able to enjoy UltraAVX in time for the holidays. A complete list of UltraAVX locations is available below. Additional UltraAVX auditoriums are planned to open across Canada in 2011.
UltraAVX features wall-to-wall screens that are significantly larger on average than our traditional screens. Adding to the experience is a superb digital surround sound system utilizing the latest in Dolby Digital sound technology. Christie Solaria 2230 DLP Cinema® projectors provide a superior digital presentation projecting visually stunning, crystal clear images onto the big screen. The system is further enhanced with the addition of RealD 3D technology enabling us to also present the latest 3D movies. Guests will love the new reserved seating option especially when they settle in to the extra wide high back rocker seats.
