Canadore College first in Ontario to offer Bell eCatalogue
for  educational institutions


Current and future students of North Bay's Canadore College will
be able to get ahead of their peers this year, by touring their
campus, ordering books, or paying tuition - all online. Canadore
College, Bell Canada and BCE Emergis announced today the
introduction of a new comprehensive, online eCatalogue service
for students, faculty and alumni. 

"With nearly forty percent of our student population coming from
outside the North Bay area, it is essential that Canadore College
have a comprehensive and interactive website that students can
turn to for campus information and payment options," said Dr. Tim
McTiernan, President of Canadore College. "Our new eCatalogue is
a one-stop online solution that helps us deliver on our
commitment to create a dynamic online environment for students,
faculty and alumni."

The online catalogue was developed by BCE Emergis, a leading
provider of e-commerce services and exchanges. It will provide
Canadore College with a fully e-enabled environment, allowing
students to review course descriptions, purchase books, register
for residence, buy parking passes and pay for meal plans and
tuition. It also gives the College the opportunity to offer
online registration for continuing education courses and provides
an open forum for alumni affairs, fundraising and more.
