Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA): Allergy Alert - Undeclared Egg, Milk, and Soy in Certain Baltic Bread Bakery Products

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is warning people with allergies to egg, milk, and soy not to consume the products described below. These products contain egg, milk, and soy which are not declared on the label.

The following Baltic Bread bakery products with Best Before dates up to and including September 21, 2008 are affected by this alert:

These products have been distributed in Ontario.

There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these products.

Consumption of these products may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to egg, milk, and soy.

The manufacturer, Baltic Bread Products Limited, Hamilton, ON is voluntarily recalling the affected products from the marketplace. The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
