Suitcase.com Introduces Checkpoint-Friendly Briefcases and Laptop Cases
Developed in Close Compliance With TSA Checkpoint-Friendly Guidelines, the Computer Bags Are Available at the Suitcase Retailer's Massachusetts Location and Suitcase.com
SUDBURY, MA--(Marketwire - November 21, 2008) - Suitcase.com, one of the first in the industry to sell luggage, travel bags, briefcases and messenger bags online, now offers checkpoint-friendly briefcases and laptop cases by Briggs and Riley, Pathfinder and Victorinox Swiss Army. The computer bags were developed to follow in close compliance with TSA (Transportation Security Administration) checkpoint-friendly guidelines.
"Since August, TSA has allowed laptops to remain in checkpoint-friendly briefcases at the security checkpoint in airports," says John Ebb, owner of Suitcase.com, aka Bretts Luggage & Gifts. "Not only do these laptop cases offer convenience and less stress during the security screening, but they protect the computer on the X-ray belt."
In response, Pathfinder introduced the CompuBrief™ and Victorinox Swiss Army released the Security Fast Pass™ in October. These briefcases offer a book-style opening that allows the laptop to remain in a travel bag and lay flat on the X-ray belt without cords and other accessories obstructing the view. Briggs and Riley also recently introduced the SpeedThru™ Sleeve, which protects the laptop on the security belt and eliminates the need for airport trays.
TSA checkpoint-friendly guidelines for computer bags include:
-- A designated laptop-only section.
-- The laptop-only section completely unfolds to lie flat on the X-ray
belt.
-- No metal snaps, zippers or buckles inside, underneath or on top of the
laptop-only section.
-- No pockets on the inside or outside of the laptop-only section.
-- Nothing packed in the laptop-only section other than the computer
itself.
