Bravo Venture Group Inc.: Drilling and IP Underway at Bravo's Woewodski Island Project
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - June 25, 2007) - Bravo Venture Group Inc. (TSX VENTURE:BVG)(FRANKFURT:B6I) reported today that core drilling is underway at its wholly owned Woewodski Island project in southeast Alaska. Up to 2,400 metres of drilling are planned for the 2007 field season and will target gold prospects along the western and southern margins of the island and VMS targets in the central and southern portions of the island.
Drilling begins at the Red Quartz target, where up to 600 metres of drilling is anticipated on multiple showings exposed discontinuously along 500 metres of strike length. A second area, known as the Pixie showing, is currently being evaluated for drill follow-up as part of the current program. This area is located about 500 metres to the south of the Red Quartz target and recently returned assays of select chip samples up to 5.6g/t Au; this area is currently being evaluated for drill follow-up as part of the current program.
Up to 1200 metres of drilling are anticipated at two showings along the +400 metre Blue Quartz trend, where assays up to 542g/t (14.3oz/t) were returned from float and rubble samples during the 2006 exploration program (see NR-20-06).
Detailed IP geophysics is currently underway at the East Lake VMS target in the central part of the island. Up to 15 line-kilometres of IP is planned, which will aid in target selection for drill testing later in the program.
About Woewodski Island
Bravo may acquire 100% interest in the 11 km x 7 km, Woewodski Island project, which consists of 501 Federal claims and three State claims covering 3260 hectares in southeast Alaska. This "deep-water, tide-water" property is located approximately 30 km SSW of Petersburg, Alaska and includes over 13 syngenetic VMS and gold-quartz vein targets. It is underlain by the same volcanic-sedimentary rocks that host both the Green's Creek, Alaska and Windy Craggy, British Columbia VMS deposits. Orogenic gold quartz veins at Woewodski are of similar age and geologic setting as at the Kensington Mine near Juneau, Ak.
