Aruba Networks Announces Investment Protection Program for Nortel Customers
New AirWave Program Protects Customers' Wireless LAN Infrastructure Investments and Provides Multi-Vendor Flexibility for the Future
SUNNYVALE, CA--(Marketwire - January 28, 2009) - Aruba Networks, Inc. (
"In today's economic climate, customers want to extract the maximum useful life from their investments, and Nortel's wireless LAN customers are no exception," said Bryan Wargo, general manager of Aruba's AirWave division. "The AirWave suite can better manage existing Nortel wireless LANs, while lowering operating expenses with Help Desk, compliance, reporting, troubleshooting, and life-cycle management features. The AirWave suite also provides a graceful migration path to newer wireless LAN solutions from Aruba and other suppliers."
The latest AirWave Suite, version 6.2, includes many new security and monitoring features:
-- Enhanced rogue access point detection and workflow, including
additional levels of rogue classification;
-- PCI compliance reporting assistance;
-- RADIUS authentication for administrators to address the PCI
requirement that all systems adhere to centralized AAA, use strong
passwords, rotate passwords regularly, and maintain an external audit
trail;
-- SSID-based statistics collection and report filtering for tracking the
migration of devices away from WEP to PCI-compliant security methods;
-- Monitoring support for Cisco 871 Routers.
The investment protection program is designed to provide peace of mind by giving customers control over the future of their infrastructure investment. The program is available to all existing Nortel customers. For additional program details please call 1-866-552-7822 (US) or +1-408-227-4500 (international), or send an e-mail to sales@airwave.com.
