Antibe Therapeutics Announces the Appointment of Dr.
George Jackowski to its Board of Directors
CALGARY, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - April 21, 2005) - Antibe Therapeutics,
Inc., an early-stage drug development company, is pleased to announce
the appointment of Dr. George Jackowski to their Board of Directors. Dr.
Jackowski brings extensive experience to Antibe both in the
biotechnology sector and in creating business momentum for start-up
companies. His superb track record in taking innovations from the
laboratory to the marketplace is respected throughout the industry.
Dr. Jackowski is presently the Chairman of Toronto-based Phoenix Group
of Companies. Previously he was the Chairman and CEO of SYN X Pharma
Inc. prior to its acquisition by Nanogen Inc. of San Diego. Currently he
is the Chief Scientific Advisor for Nanogen Inc. He has founded nine
biotech companies - five of which are now publicly traded -, and has
been instrumental in the establishment of an additional twelve. He's
invented and secured ten patents on the Cardiac Panel marketed by
Spectral Diagnostics Inc. and holds an additional 136 patents filed and
issued in the United States and worldwide.
