ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Feb. 25, 2010) - Americas Petrogas Inc. ("Americas Petrogas") (TSX
VENTURE:BOE) is pleased to announce that
it has begun producing oil from its Medanito Sur operation in the Neuquen
basin, Argentina.
Americas Petrogas put into
production the three drilled and completed wells. Initial production from
these wells is in the range of 450-475 barrels per day of sweet crude oil (30
degree API). This commencement of production allows Americas Petrogas to start
crude oil sales, represents the beginning of a long-term test of the wells to
evaluate their performance and to formulate development plans for Medanito Sur.
