Advertising Age, Media Magazine Honor TargetCast tcm

Leading Industry Publications Honor Entrepreneurial Media Agency for Growth and Innovation

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - Feb 4, 2013) - TargetCast tcm was honored in a ceremony last week as Media Magazine's 2012 Independent Media Services Agency of the Year, capping off an unprecedented year of achievement for the media shop, now a unit of MDC Partners' Maxxcom Global Media.

Acquired by the MDC Partners holding company in March of 2012, TargetCast continued a steady trajectory of new business growth last year with increased responsibilities as Digital AOR for long-term client Pfizer Consumer Healthcare, as well as bringing on clients including Lockheed Martin, Shionogi Pharmaceutical and Illva Brand, Disaronno. Additionally, agency co-founder and CEO Steve Farella now serves in an expanded role as the CEO of Maxxcom Global Media, MDC Partners' new network of media agencies leveraging shared intelligence for business growth. For all of these accomplishments, TargetCast also earned a place in Advertising Age's prestigious annual A-List issue, as an "Agency to Watch."

At the Media Magazine event Wednesday night, Farella and Audrey Siegel co-founder and President of TargetCast, thanked the colleagues and clients who've propelled the agency's success.

"Audrey and I began TargetCast over 10 years ago with a handful of folks in this room. We did it without a founding client. We did it without an office. But we did it with a great idea. Building our agency took agility, it took vision, and it took courage -- a lot of courage," said Farella. "We thank (MDC Partners CEO) Miles Nadal for seeing value in our company, and we thank him for the vision of putting together Maxxcom Global Media."

Said Siegel, "Our commitment is to be great business partners with our clients, who have become part of our lives and part of the way we think about our business. I want to thank our clients. Our clients chose creativity and agility and service -- and we're so proud to be in business together." Siegel also thanked all staff members, noting she has "personally met with every person who joins the agency."

TargetCast recently made two noteworthy executive hires to drive further growth and value for clients: David Leitner and Diana Bald. Leitner, previously SVP and Group Client Director at Starcom MediaVest Group's MediaVest, joined as EVP, Managing Director for Client Services. Bald, previously SVP and Director of Marketing at ID Media, was named EVP, Director of Marketing and Business Development.
