monitors, the UA-850 series, has been clinically validated with the results
published in the December 2008 issue of Blood Pressure Monitoring.

The UA-850 series study was conducted by Dr. Paolo Palatini in conjunction
with the Department of Clinical and Experimental Medicine, University of
Padova, Padua, Italy. Device evaluations were performed using the protocol
of the European Society of Hypertension (ESH). Blood pressure monitor
performance was assessed in relation to patient's age, arm size, and
systolic and diastolic blood pressures. The UA-850 series passed all of
the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation's rigorous
requirements. Palatini documented: "We thus conclude that the UA-85X is an
accurate device that may replace the traditional mercury sphygmomanometer
in clinical practice and that may be recommended to patients for home BP
measurement."
