AAMCO iGAAUGE Mobile Application Now Available for Android Phones

HORSHAM, PA--(Marketwire - April 15, 2010) -  National car care leader AAMCO® today released its iGAAUGE mobile application for Android™ phone users. iGAAUGE, launched in December for the iPhone® and iPod touch®, has already received accolades and recognition as the first of its kind for a national car care leader. iGAAUGE gives users access to diagnostic tools and up-to-the-mile maintenance information at the touch of a button.

"For nearly 50 years, people have trusted their local AAMCO to work on the most complicated part of their cars, and today look to AAMCO for not only transmissions but also total car care, repair and maintenance," said Mike Ganjei, president, National AAMCO Dealers Association.

"Now, the AAMCO experience is available any time and any place through an iPhone or Android phone," added Jack Bachinsky, AAMCO vice president of marketing. "iGAAUGE extends the service and peace of mind we provide and makes it easy to connect to AAMCO when car issues arise."

The iGAAUGE was named one of the week's best iPhone apps by Gizmodo (December 4, 2009) and made the Advertising Age "Book of Tens: Cool Branded iPhone Apps for 2009" (December 14, 2009).

iGAAUGE provides a car's maintenance schedule, troubleshoots car issues, provides traffic updates, locates the nearest gas station, contacts roadside assistance and connects users to the nearest AAMCO with a single click. Special AAMCO offers and coupons are available exclusively to iGAAUGE users via the application.

iGAAUGE for Android can be downloaded free of charge at the Android Market.

For a demonstration of iGAAUGE features and functionality, an instructional video is available on the AAMCO YouTube channel.
