SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwire - March 3, 2009) - 1st Pacific Bank of California (NASDAQ: FPBN) announced today the promotion of Rick Hudson as Senior Vice President, Regional Manager of the bank's University Towne Center main office.

Mr. Hudson joined 1st Pacific Bank in 2003 as Vice President and Commercial Lending Officer and was promoted to Vice President and Branch Manager of the University Towne Center office in 2007. Mr. Hudson's role will manage and oversee the business development, client retention and operations activities of the office.

Mr. Hudson's previous banking experience includes positions with Rancho Santa Fe National Bank and Wells Fargo Bank. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Policy, Management and Planning from the University of Southern California and a Masters of Business Administration in New Venture Management from the University of San Diego.
