ADCOLE Diesel Cam Tester Handles Parts up to 105" Long

MARLBOROUGH, MA--(Marketwire - Jan 2, 2013) - ADCOLE Corporation is introducing an upgraded camshaft measuring machine that has been engineered to handle longer camshafts for large diesel engines, and provides submicron accuracy.

The ADCOLE Model 911 Camshaft Gage for diesel engines handles parts up to 105" long and features a video monitor to assure the center hole is lined up and engaged and employs a footswitch operated open-close of the tailstock. Capable of automatically measuring 360° around the part, including all cam lobes, reference journals, timing features, and keyways, this gage provides submicron accuracy and can detect material buildup and other irregularities.

Featuring precision carriage ways to assure ±0.25 micron radial accuracy, the ADCOLE Model 911 Camshaft Gage measures each cam lobe's axial profile from edge-to-edge and creates a 3D image that illustrates the shape and identifies irregularities. This camshaft gage has become the world standard for milling and grinding machine tool users to assure there is product conformance among suppliers and OEMs, claims the firm.

The ADCOLE Model 911 Camshaft Gage is priced from $150,000.00 up. Price quotations and literature are available upon request.

About ADCOLE Corporation

ADCOLE CORPORATION is the global center of expertise for designing and manufacturing the world's highest accuracy machines for measuring camshafts, crankshafts and pistons, as well as digital sun angle sensors for space satellites. No other company can better measure critically important reciprocating engine components or the angle to the sun.

Founded in 1957, ADCOLE has manufacturing facilities in Massachusetts and Florida and offices across the world, maintaining close relationships with their customers. The company's success, to a large extent, is based upon responding to their customers' requests for further refinements based upon their real-world experience. Most of these refinements have dealt with the need for higher accuracy and the need to measure more parameters including radius, profile, taper, crown, timing angle, diameter, velocity, acceleration, runout, and roundness and concentricity.
