Seventh Generation Announces Canadian Winners of $50,000 Charitable Donation

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Dec. 10, 2012) - Following an exciting month of online voting, Seventh Generation proudly announces the winners of the Show You Care Today Canada campaign. Throughout the month of November Canadians were encouraged to vote via Facebook to help direct a $50,000 cash donation to three of the country's leading social and environmental foundations.

Following final votes on November 26, The David Suzuki Foundation emerged in first place. As the winner of the Show You Care Today campaign, a $25,000 donation will be made from Seventh Generation to continue efforts in finding solutions to help build a sustainable low-carbon future, protect habitats, and address toxic chemicals in our environment.

Placing second, WWF-Canada will receive a $15,000 donation. WWF- Canada's donation will support on-going initiatives that build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature.

Finally, the YWCA Canada will receive a $10,000 donation to support their work building a voice for women and children and promoting an equitable society.

According to Ashley Orgain, Executive Director of the Seventh Generation Foundation, "We've been thrilled with the online response to this program. As always our mission is to inspire a more conscious and sustainable world by being an authentic force for positive change. We believe that supporting organizations like WWF-Canada, the David Suzuki Foundation, and the YWCA through our Charitable Giving Program is an impactful way to achieve this."
