U.S. Representative Gary Miller Is Recognized by Sabtech Industries

YORBA LINDA, CA--(Marketwire - Nov 27, 2012) - Sabtech Industries, an established leader in the design, manufacture and support of tactical data communications solutions for military and government agencies, is pleased to recognize Congressman Gary Miller (42nd district, Calif.) for his consistent and invaluable support provided to the United States Navy for critical upgrades to the nation's premier air defense system -- Aegis. The Aegis Weapons System is the world's premier Air Defense Weapon System deployed in the U.S. and 32 Allied Nations.

At Sabtech's global headquarters in Yorba Linda, Calif., Michael Carter President of Sabtech presented Congressman Miller with a letter of appreciation for his steadfast support to replace outdated Naval Tactical Data System (NTDS) technology and emulator computer systems with modern Aegis Simulation Test and Training System (A-STATS), resulting in a cost savings of over $5 million to the U.S. Navy. The new technology for A-STATS also enabled the simulation systems to provide a more robust, realistic simulation of combat system interfaces. Sabtech's technology allows for the replacement of obsolete equipment without a complete system overhaul -- saving taxpayer dollars while keeping the U.S. military at peak performance.

"It's imperative that we utilize the best technology for our forces and with Sabtech's advanced systems, we can overhaul outdated equipment with state of the art technology at a fraction of the cost of purchasing whole new communication interface systems," said Representative Miller. "This is a win-win for both the Navy and taxpayers."

"We want to thank Congressman Miller for his proactive support of the U.S. Navy," said Michael Carter, President of Sabtech. "His support to migrate mission critical equipment to open architecture paved the way for NTDS to Ethernet conversion using Sabtech's PowerNet™ technology, which has been successfully tested for use on the SLQ-32 Electronic Warfare System onboard U.S. Navy surface ships."
