Escape From Riverbend Institution


PRINCE ALBERT, SASKATCHEWAN--(Marketwire - July 7, 2012) - On July 6, inmate Terrance Michael Yew was discovered missing during the Riverbend Institution 9:30 p.m. count. The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) immediately contacted the Prince Albert police and Royal Canadian Mounted Police and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Terrance Yew, 39 years old, is described as 180 cm (5' 11") in height, his weight is 107 Kg (236 lbs), he has brown eyes and black hair, and has a small scar on his right cheek. He is currently serving a two year, 10 month sentence for Operating A Motor Vehicle - Flight and Operating a Motor Vehicle While Disqualified.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Terrance Yew is asked to contact police.

CSC and Riverbend Institution will be conducting a joint investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident and are working with the Prince Albert Police Service and RCMP to locate this offender as quickly as possible.

CSC has given the police all available information to assist in the inmate's apprehension.
