Return of the Hack -- Hacker Halted APAC 2012

KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA--(Marketwire - Jun 10, 2012) - EC-Council Academy is proud to announce the return of the annual Hacker Halted APAC. Hacker Halted APAC 2012 will be held on the 19th - 22nd November 2012 at Intercontinental Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This will be its 9th return to Kuala Lumpur.

Introduced in 2004, the Hacker Halted series has been a constant source of knowledge to the information security community. The objective of the series remains steadfast and clear -- to create a platform to facilitate knowledge transfer on the latest information security threats, counter-measures, and the industry's developments throughout the years.

Annually, an average of 500 individuals is gathered at the event to experience live hacking sessions and be exposed to latest hacking technologies, tricks and threats. Security issues related to Android and Apple devices, cloud computing and mobile devices will be presented at this year's event.

"To catch a hacker, you have to think like a hacker. Cyber threats are now serious business threats -- it's crucial to be able to set countermeasures before being victimized," EC-Council Academy Managing Director Wilson Wong stated.

"As we live in a society increasingly reliant on technology, it's foolish to imagine you're safe from cyber crimes until your identity, database or network is violated," he added.

With interactive and information-packed sessions, participants can expect to be armed and ready to upgrade their strategies for better data protection.
