YuMe Appoints Former Adobe Product Visionary as SVP of Product Management

REDWOOD CITY, CA--(Marketwire - May 23, 2012) - YuMe, the leading provider of digital brand advertising software and services, today announced it has appointed Simon Hayhurst as Senior Vice President of Product Management. A senior executive with more than 20 years of experience, Hayhurst joins YuMe after serving in previous executive marketing and product roles with Adobe, Autonomy and Silicon Graphics. In his new role with YuMe, Hayhurst will provide executive leadership and direction to drive product strategy as YuMe continues to deliver today's most quick-to-deploy and quick-to-monetize advertising platform for all connected screens.

Hayhurst's exceptional ability to balance business and product objectives is expected to further expand YuMe's presence in the rapidly growing digital brand advertising market. In his new role with YuMe, Hayhurst will drive YuMe's product strategy and execution, accelerating the pace of innovation and product delivery to connect brands and agencies with audiences across any screen. With over a decade of management experience across hardware, software, and SaaS, Hayhurst will further the successes of YuMe's award-winning products.

"As more advertisers come to rely on our services to optimize ad performance, we are excited to have Simon Hayhurst on board," said Jayant Kadambi, CEO of YuMe. "Our mission is to match the right ad to the right audience on any screen. Simon's vision and experience in understanding the changing needs of the target customer, together with his outstanding record of execution -- including as a results-focused, driving force at Adobe -- will help us to even more effectively provide advertisers with a video experience in which every impression counts."

Hayhurst has held numerous positions with a focus on go-to-market strategy, execution and innovation. Most recently, he drove the launch of Autonomy's Aurasma, enabling it to become the world's most broadly deployed Augmented Reality toolkit in just six weeks. Hayhurst also led the Video and Audio Tools business at Adobe, where he increased market share from 21 percent to 45 percent, while also reversing declining revenues. He also envisioned, championed and led a shift in Adobe's go-to-market and R&D to focus on searchable digital video, driving wins with key customers, including BBC, CNN and Hearst. Prior to Adobe, Hayhurst worked in engineering at IBM and led the visual systems division at Silicon Graphics, responsible for a $300M portfolio of software and hardware solutions. Hayhurst has patents filed at IBM, Silicon Graphics, Adobe and Autonomy.

"My new role with YuMe comes with many exciting opportunities to directly develop innovative ways for brands to engage their unique target audience wherever they are found," stated Hayhurst. "I look forward to bringing my expertise in products and technology to continue to build YuMe's three-screen expertise and offerings."
