Ashwill Associates Broker Land Leases for 40 MW of Solar for Albiasa Corporation

SAN FRANCISCO, CA and NEWPORT BEACH, CA--(Marketwire - May 11, 2010) - Today, Ashwill Associates, Inc. has announced it has represented Albiasa Corporation, a leading developer and supplier of advanced solar thermal technology, in leasing 793 acres for a solar power generating facility in Riverside County, Southern California and 1,120 acres in Graham County, Arizona. The two locations will be home to two solar power plants totaling 40MW of PV solar power. These projects come after the Arizona Department of Commerce and Albiasa Corporation announced a $1 billion concentrated solar power plant (CSP) that is planned to be operational in the Kingman area in 2013.

The Albiasa group has patented designs on its parabolic trough and automated assembly line that allows the trough to be more cost effective than conventional parabolic trough systems while maintaining the highest geometric accuracy in the market. Albiasa, a vertically integrated CSP plant developer, also has operational stand alone PV facilities operating in Spain and implements utility scale PV farms with the most efficient equipment in the industry.

Ashwill Associates is a commercial real estate brokerage firm located in Newport Beach, CA. Ashwill Associates' Land Division was established in 2004. The Ashwill team has proven experience and expertise in land procurement that meet the specific needs of solar development. For each of its U.S. Projects, Albiasa Corporation has been working exclusively with Ashwill Associates for real estate representation, land siting, contract negotiation and coordination of escrow and title.

"Asking the appropriate site criteria questions and our experience developing solar land deals has allowed Ashwill Associates great success for our clients such as Albiasa Corporation," commented Jason Keller, Sales Associate, Ashwill Associates.

The Southern California and Arizona projects will provide at least 20-megawatts of power each to their local areas. One megawatt of power-generating capacity is enough to power 250 homes. Terms for these solar projects generally consist of 30-year leases or outright purchases from the land owner. The 1,120 acre Arizona project comes from a failed residential development that was taken back by a bank.

"Ashwill Associates is a valued partner in solar site selection for utility scale solar projects. Our continuing relationship will allow our two groups to pursue more land deals that meet the many parameters that make a successful solar project," said Albert Fong, Albiasa Corporation's chief project engineer.

Jesse Tippett, Managing Director of Albiasa Corporation, continued, "Even in these difficult economic times, Albiasa continues to find financial and business partnerships like Ashwill that greatly add value to our projects."
