HP Inkjet Cartridges Outperform Refilled Cartridges in Comparison Tests by Leading Independent Quality Organization
Original HP Inkjet Cartridges Prove More Reliable, Demonstrate Higher Yield in QualityLogic Comparison Testing

QualityLogic concluded that Original HP inkjet cartridges printed 57.5 percent more pages, on average, than the refill brands tested. HP cartridges were also found to be far more reliable. None of the Original HP inkjet cartridges failed during the test, whereas an average of one in five refilled brands was either dead-on-arrival or failed prematurely.
The refilled inkjet print cartridges tested in the study were refilled cartridges carrying the store brand, refilled cartridges sold under another third-party brand as well as empty cartridges that were refilled at refill stations. All brands tested were commonly available in North America.

- QualityLogic concluded that Original HP inkjet cartridges printed an average of 57.5 percent more pages than the refill brands tested.
- Original HP inkjet cartridges printed twice as many as pages as cartridges refilled at shops or kiosks.
- On average, more than one in four inkjet cartridges refilled at shops or kiosks failed prematurely, or were dead-on-arrival, and more than one in five refill brands of inkjet cartridges were dead-on-arrival or failed prematurely.
- Comparison tests were conducted by QualityLogic (www.qualitylogic.com), which provides printer manufacturers and industry publications with standardized test results that allow accurate comparisons of one printer's cartridge yields against another.
