AXA ART Americas Elects Canadian Collector and Philanthropist Alan Schwartz to its Board of Directors


NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK--(Marketwired - Sept. 23, 2015) - AXA ART announced today that Canadian collector, philanthropist and financier Alan Schwartz has been elected to the Board of Directors of AXA Art Americas Corporation.

Mr. Schwartz's career is marked by a series of important achievements ranging from legal to high finance to landscape architecture. His company Lonsdale Holdings provides operational and strategic advice to a number of businesses in Canada. He is the Managing Director of Terraplan Landscape Architects in Toronto. In addition, he provides art advisory services to a number of individual families throughout North America. Prior to this, Mr. Schwartz served as the Vice Chairman of Orion Financial Inc., the sole shareholder of Orion Securities (formally Yorkton Securities) and was a member of the Orion Financial Board and Executive Committee. He served as Vice Chairman of Gluskin Sheff, an investment management firm specializing in the management of equity portfolios for individuals, corporations, trusts, pension funds and charitable foundations.
