ACGM Appoints Andres Azicri as Southern Cone Representative

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Jun 4, 2014) - ACGM announced today the appointment of Andres Azicri as Managing Director and the firm's Southern Cone Representative. Mr. Azicri's hire reflects ACGM's continued strategic focus on the emerging markets in general and Latin America in particular.

Mr. Azicri, Director at Elypsis S.R.L., Argentina's leading macro-finance research firm, is expected to head up ACGM's planned branch office in Buenos Aires and will continue the execution of the firm's emerging market strategy by building upon the firm's Southern Cone investment banking business.

Mr. Azicri is a recognized economist and finance professional with a 22-year career spanning research, trading, investment banking, private equity, and hedge fund management. He previously served as Senior Vice President and Head of Fixed Income Research at Oppenheimer & Co., and as Vice President and Proprietary Trader at Bankers Trust, both in New York. In addition, Mr. Azicri has held senior management positions at several Argentine banks and was responsible for several high profile M&A deals, including the cross-border sale of a large Argentine internet service provider.

Beyond his professional career, Mr. Azicri is a Professor of Securities Structuring within the Master in Finance program at CEMA University and is Professor of Money, Credit and Banking in the Economics Department of the Universidad de Buenos Aires.
