How Does a Company Like MOSCOT Launch Two New Eyewear Collections Simultaneously? With Identical Twins of Course

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Jul 23, 2013) - MOSCOT, a New York City institution renowned worldwide for its iconic eyewear -- The MOSCOT Originals, MOSCOT Spirit, and MOSCOT Sun Collections -- today announced the launch of its Fall 2013 MOSCOT Originals Collection, and its brand new MOSCOT Spirit Collection, with the help of some very special siblings... six sets of identical twins.

Like identical twins, the brand new MOSCOT Spirit Collection and MOSCOT Originals Collection share the same great DNA -- the same high quality acetate, real hardware for the sturdiest possible construction, and authentic period details. And, like identical twins, each Collection enjoys unique qualities -- frames in The MOSCOT Spirit Collection are newly designed from the ground up, whereas frames from The MOSCOT Originals Collection are recreations of frames from the Moscot family archives.

"Identical twins perfectly reinforced the message that good genes really do run in the MOSCOT Family," said Wendy Simmons, Co-President of MOSCOT. "We want fans to understand that a MOSCOT frame is a MOSCOT frame, regardless of Collection, and if you like the qualities and aesthetic of the Originals Collection, there's no doubt you'll love the Spirit Collection too. We're very excited."

The campaign which embodies the three pillars of the MOSCOT brand -- history, fashion, and humor -- captures each set of twins' shared and individual traits, as well as never before seen Moscot family historical photos, and of course, the ubiquitous MOSCOT Mannequin heads, which sneak their way in to most, if not all, MOSCOT campaigns. The campaign launches today worldwide, in conjunction with the launch of the new Collections, and the Fall 2013 Style Guide, this season designed as a MOSCOT Family Album, identical twins included.

The campaign was created in house by the MOSCOT creative team -- conceptualized and photographed by MOSCOT Co-President, Wendy Simmons, with post production by Rachel Blische and Zachary Moscot, and features the DeFosset twins, the Jackson twins, the Murray twins, the Rose twins, the Russo twins, and the Ward twins. The campaign was photographed at BrooklynPhoto in Brooklyn, NY.
