LAKEWOOD, CO--(Marketwire - August 16, 2010) - Christy Sports (www.christysports.com), a ski and snowboard retailer in Colorado and Utah, today announced it will host its annual Powder Daze ski and snowboard sale event Friday, Sept. 3 through Sunday, Sept. 12. Powder Daze will be held at the same convenient location as last year at 8691 Park Meadows Center Drive adjacent to Park Meadows Mall, at I-25 and C-470. All products will be up to 75 percent off.
With such a massive amount of inventory, Christy Sports needed to rent a venue larger than any of their stores to hold the event. With more than 40 locations throughout Colorado and Utah, Christy Sports has moved its entire selection of ski and snowboard inventory to one location. In addition, Christy Sports purchased excess inventory from leading ski and snowboard manufacturers and will be able to offer consumers the best selection of products at the lowest prices. All previous year models including skis, snowboards, boots, coats, pants, helmets and accessories will be marked up to 75 percent off.
Christy Sports, in conjunction with Copper Mountain and Winter Park, is offering an exclusive ski pass deal. Everyone who purchases a Four Pass between Sept. 3 and Sept. 6 will receive a fifth day free! This is only available at the Denver Powder Daze location. This exclusive offer is not available in stores and customers must be present to purchase their pass. Christy Sports will also be increasing the amount of kiosks for ski pass sales, so customers can expect the wait times to be much shorter than they were last year.

During Powder Daze, Christy Sports will maintain its high level of customer service by offering a return policy on all goods purchased during the sale and promising that the company will have the best selection of quality products at the lowest prices.
The sale hours will be:
- Friday, Sept. 3 to Monday, Sept. 6 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Tuesday, Sept. 7 to Saturday, Sept. 12 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Also onsite at the event will be representatives from various ski areas including Eldora Mountain Resort, Loveland Ski Area, Copper Mountain, Winter Park and Steamboat. They will be on-hand to provide customers with resort information including ski schools and other winter activities. Also representatives from leading ski and snowboard manufactures including Burton, K2, Ride, Roxy, Salomon, Marker, Lange, Rossignol, Tecnica, and Volkl, will be onsite to answer any questions regarding the merchandise.
Teton Gravity Research will also be onsite with discount tickets for their new movie premieres this fall throughout Colorado. Trailers for "Deeper" and "Light The Wick" will be shown at Powder Daze, as well as films from previous years.
At Powder Daze, shoppers will have the opportunity to make a donation to support Make a Hero, which provides opportunities for people with disabilities to experience the thrill of skiing and snowboarding. All donations generated at the sale will go directly to local organizations and will be kept in local communities. Make a Hero is supported by Warren Miller and by teaming up with Christy Sports will offer a great opportunity for skiers and snowboards to give back and allow others who are less fortunate the opportunity to enjoy the sport they love.
